AAASHH HERALDING A NEW DAWN IN THE LIVES OF KASHMIRI WOMEN Years of trepidation, turmoil & troubles threatened to engulf the whole valley, yet the enormity of upheavals couldn’t dampen the essence of kashmiri women, who never kow-towed to adverse circumstances. They’ve proven the women are always more resilient that men. Kashmiri women have had to grapple with chronic depression and anxiety This has isolated them and hampered their progress to become a part of the mainstream of society. By the dint of their sheer determination and dourness, they’ve taught others not to be bogged down by the adversities and unrest.

Saluting the indomitable spirit of Kashmiri women, Sarhad is making a platform available to them to display their creative skills to commemorate the international Women’s Day. We are launching our Kashmiri Women Empowerment Project ‘AAASHH”, which is designed to provide an entrepreneurial leadership to the women of Jammu and Kashmir. The main objective of it is to identify and support multifariously disadvantaged women by providing the marketplace for their handicraft and curios, thus offering them employment opportunities. This will surely enable Kashmiri women to surge ahead independently and assert their status and stature in the society.
